To do that, Push the harness release button on the front of the seat. At the same time, pull on the harness straps to extend completely.
Then, unbuckle the harness and unfasten the chest clip.

When your child is strapped in his seat and you need to loosen the straps to take him out, just follow the same easy steps:
Step 1. Press the harness release button located on the front of the seat.
Step 2. While pressing the button, pull out the harness straps.
Step 3. To unfasten the chest clip, push the release button and pull it apart
Step 4. Press the red buckle release, and remove the buckle tongues.
How to tighten the straps on Evenflo 4-in-1 car seat
After placing the child in the seat, it’s now time to tighten those straps around him.
The harness straps must fit snugly against your child’s body. There should be no slack on the straps when tightened correctly.
Just follow these steps and you will be able to safely achieve a snug-fitting harness that’s not too loose or too tight either.
Step 1. Insert both buckle tongues into the buckle.
Step 2. Pull up on the harness strap to check that the buckle tongues are fastened and to remove any slack from the webbing around the child’s legs.
Step 3. Snap the two halves of the chest clip together, and slide to armpit level.
Step 4. Hold the chest clip while pulling the harness adjustment strap so that the chest clip does not slide up into the child’s neck.
Step 5. Check the harness straps near the shoulders for slack. You should NOT be able to pinch the harness.
Here is how to do a car seat strap pinch test.
How to store the UAS straps on Evenflo 4-in-1?
According to the car seat manual, not storing the LATCH/UAS straps can lead to serious complications such as strangulation or injuries.
You must always store the unused LATCH/UAS straps, with all slack removed, in the storage areas on the sides of your seat.
To do that, roll or fold the excess LATCH/UAS strap and secure it with a rubber band then store it in the designated area on the sides of the seat.
